Harry Edwards’ “Tame” video will put you through your paces
Watch the new visual from the British producer and electronic artist.
As a producer London's Harry Edwards has worked alongside artists including Usher and FKA twigs. Now signed to Paul Epworth's Wolf Tone label as an artist, Edwards has shared the video for his moody and spacious new single, "Tame."
"Tame" is a complex and emotive cut of electronic soul, calling to mind U.K. forebearers Jai Paul and Jamie Woon. It comes backed with a similarly loose and impressionistic video, which combines a collage of traditionally aggressive images including boxers training for a fight, and an abandoned car lit on fire.
Speaking to The FADER via email, Edwards said: "'Tame' was part of a collection of songs written at a point in my life that felt uncertain and so acted as a coping mechanism. I wasn’t aware at the time, but I was drawing on lots of music I had heard from my childhood. This enabled us to quite quickly manifest some ideas for the video with director Kalina Pulit that included themes of isolation, hopelessness, and masculinity with shades of abstraction to convey this through a lens of memory, nostalgia, and dreams."
