Earlier this year, iconic Los Angeles indie band that dog. released Old LP, their first album in 22 years. Written and recorded over a number of years beginning in 2012, Old LP felt like a powerful and significant statement from the newly-reinvigorated band, and proof that Anna Waronker, Tony Maxwell and Rachel Haden could still foster their classic chemistry so many years later. For that dog.’s FADER CURRENT MOOD playlist, Waronker has put together a playlist of songs tied by no theme but her love for them.
“I think by the range of songs here, it would make sense that I feel all over the place,” Waronker tells The FADER of the playlist, “I’m trying to keep up my friends’ music because I love them and they are so talented. But then I’m so connected to some ol’ theater folk stuff that brings me to another place and time.” Listen to that dog.’s CURRENT MOOD playlist above.
