Davido’s top five things to do in Nigeria
A day in the life of the Lagos-raised artist consists of waking up at 7pm and partying until 7am.
A typical night for singer-songwriter Davido in his hometown of Lagos, Nigeria consists of waking up at 7 or 8 p.m. to “roll out fifty, sixty cars deep [and] hit the club.” In the latest episode of Top Five, the former FADER cover star lists his top five things to do when visiting Nigeria.
“If there’s one thing Nigerians love, it is party[ing]. They throw a party for anything,” Davido explains of his love for Nigeria. “You go to the marketplace [and] people are happy. Even people who don’t have money, they’re just happy for no reason.” While partying is obviously a priority for Davido, he exclaims that the number one thing to do in Lagos is eat. “To me, Nigerian food is the best in the world. I don’t care where I eat, I’m never full unless I have my Nigerian food.” *chef’s kiss*.
Davido’s second studio album, A Good Time, is out now.
