Back in March this year, Nilüfer Yanya's debut album, Miss Universe was released to critical acclaim. Named Rolling Stone's Artist You Need To Know and receiving Best New Music from Pitchfork, the English singer-songwriter is somewhat of a breakout star in 2019. With its unique combination of indie rock guitar grooves and Yanya's soulful alto, the album is a coming of age portrait of universal emotions; the ones we nonchalantly express and the ones we are sometimes too scared to feel. For her Current Mood playlist, Yanya created a In No Particular Order mix, featuring everything from the catchphrase anthemics of Amerie's "1 Thing" to the grimey electronica of Charlotte Adigéry.
