Earlier this year, Halsey released a remix of her hit “Without Me” featuring rapper and singer Juice WRLD. That remix was probably part of the reason “Without Me” eventually went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the weekend at a show in Brooklyn, Halsey performed the song as a tribute to the recently deceased musician, telling the crowd, as MTV points out: “The remix of this song is the better version of this song, and I think everybody knows that deep down inside. Juice WRLD died last week at age 21 after experiencing a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport. In the wake of his passing, it was revealed that he was the target of a drug bust mere hours before his death. Over the past week, many of Juice WRLD’s collaborators, friends and admirers — including Sting, who was sampled on the rapper’s hit “Lucid Dreams” — have expressed their sorrow in regards to his passing.
