SZA has assured fans that she will be releasing new music this year. The TDE artist released her debut album Ctrl in June 2017 and has kept a low profile since then, popping up in 2018 on Black Panther song "All the Stars" and a year later alongside The Weeknd and Travis Scott on a song for Game Of Thrones.
However, that is all set to change. On Friday, January 3, SZA took questions from fans on Twitter and, inevitably, the subject of new music came up. Confirming that something is on the way, SZA said she could even reveal a release date but "would stress me n build uneccesary pressure 🥺."
I’d say the date me and punch jus discussed .. but that would stress me n build uneccesary pressure 🥺.. short answer is yes https://t.co/pXRW7noddh

Elsewhere in the Q&A SZA revealed she has collaborated with Sam Smith and that it bums her out to be releasing music during a time of increased tension between the U.S. and Iran.
