BTS announce new album Map of the Soul: 7

A new album from Korean pop group BTS is arriving soon. Map of the Soul: 7, the follow-up to the global smash Map of the Soul: Persona, is out February 21 via Big Hit Entertainment. The project was announced on Twitter — preorders for the album begin on January 9, and more information is promised to come on the band's Weverse profile.

The new album will come after BTS's "extended period of rest," which turned out to be about one month. Recent BTS performances include New York's Times Square for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and somewhat more controversially, Saudi Arabia.
