Clayjay begins his “Leave No Trace” video in a makeshift bedroom at the bottom of a swimming pool. The 22-year-old producer and vocalist stretches out on his bed and talks of a "start seems like so long ago," with bubbles coming out as he sings. This feeling of being submerged is matched by the music, each bass note and drum fill is turned up to an almost distorted level while Clayjay's hazy, melodic vocals will appeal to anyone who has been playing the new Tame Impala on repeat this week.
“Leave No Trace” is Clayjay's first single of 2020. Last year he dropped his debut, "Out The Drain," plus "Fruit Roll Up." In addition to his own material he has recently been working with Gen F alum Deb Never on her debut album.
