Thundercat's goofiness has always been part of his music's appeal, but his latest single "Dragonball Durag" is something even more unapologetic. Being a master of funk as well as an anime nerd, Thundercat is well suited to harness the genre's ostentatiousness and make it his own, and that's just what the song does. The music video for "Dragonball Durag" dropped today, and presents Thundercat as a very unsuccessful pickup artist. He tries to run game on Quinta Brunson, Kali Uchis, and HAIM to little success, but you can't deny that he looks good while striking out. Zack Fox directs the video, which resembles the clips he shot for Thundercat's North American tour and Japan trip. Check it out at the top of the page.
Thundercat's new album It Is What it Is drops April 3.
