Houston icon Megan Thee Stallion has dropped a video for “Captain Hook,” a highlight from her latest mixtape Suga. Taking place at the “ultimate hottie party,” the self-directed video for “Captain Hook” depicts a variety of scenes that, per a press release, celebrate Megan’s “positivity and female kinship in Suga’s own, hyper-glamorous world.” Just in time for International Women’s Day!
Suga was released late last week amidst reports that Megan was being held in limbo by her label 1501 Entertainment, who Megan alleges threatened and underpaid her, and refused to renegotiate a contract they convinced her to sign with deceitful tactics. Megan and her lawyers successfully filed a temporary restraining order against 1501, thereby allowing her to release Suga. Watch “Captain Hook” above.
