Oliver Malcolm drops new single “Helen”

Fresh off the release of his buzzy debut single “Switched Up,” Swedish-born Brit Oliver Malcolm has dropped “Helen,” a dark new single characterized by a bluesy melody and a handful of taut, sparingly dispensed samples. Written and produced by Malcolm, it’s another tantalizing single. “The song feels gritty and raw because that’s how I felt being back home in England,” Malcolm says in a statement. “This guy owned a small complex behind an automobile warehouse and agreed to let me make as much noise as I want if I paid him 500 quid … this is the first song I made there.” Listen to “Helen” above.\
