Digital FORT: Watch Angelica Garcia premiere new track “Preciosura”
The singer gives a live performance from home.
Angelica Garcia grew up east of Los Angeles in a family that made ranchera music — Mexican folk music — together, performing at different rodeos and clubs. For her, making music came extremely natural, but the way she thought of herself and her music drastically changed when her family uprooted and moved to Virginia when she was 17. On her recently released album Cha Cha Palace, Garcia seems to be in a mood of nostalgia, as the project covers her upbringing and Latinx identity. Today, for Digital FORT, Garcia offers an in-home performance of a previously-unheard track titled “Preciosura."
