Lonr. and H.E.R. star in the beautifully sad “Make The Most” video
A short film about love turned tragic.
On first listen, Lonr.'s "Make The Most" sums up the puppy love so many couples feel once they get passed any awkward stages of being comfortable together: conversations about a future, sweet nothings about doing anything for each other, and plans to do nothing but lay in a bed together. H.E.R., who worked with Lonr. on her Grammy winning self-titled album, also joins in to represent the woman's side of this more than perfect period.
But in the video for the new single, the song takes on an new meaning — putting all of one's emotions on front street so that there are no secrets between the two of you. Instead of the relationship in the video ending in a breakup, Lonr.'s character's life is suddenly taken by a cop. In an email, Lonr. explained: “The idea behind ‘Make The Most’ was simply that we only have one life to live, so with whatever or whoever it is that you love, make sure you make it known… Make sure you chase it, because tomorrow isn’t promised.”
"Make The Most" will be on Lonr.'s debut EP Land of Nothing Real which will be released on April 24.
