R.I.P. Justin Townes Earle, Americana musician dead at 38
The family of Justin Townes Earle, singer-songwriter and son of Steve Earle, confirmed his passing.
Americana star Justin Townes Earle has passed away at the age of 38. A post on his official Facebook page confirmed the news, as Pitchfork points out, stating: “It is with tremendous sadness that we inform you of the passing of our son, husband, father and friend Justin. So many of you have relied on his music and lyrics over the years and we hope that his music will continue to guide you on your journeys. You will be missed dearly Justin.”
Earle was the son of legendary country musician Steve Earle, and released nine studio albums in his lifetime, including 2019’s The Saint Of Lost Causes, and 2010’s Harlem River Blues, which charted at 47 on the Billboard 200. Read our 2014 Another Country interview with Townes Earle here.
