Hundred Waters member trayer tryon has released “cul de sac,” a new composition comprising six minutes of ambient noise that features contributions from Moses Sumney, Julianna Barwick, and Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi, among others. Taken from tryon's upcoming solo record new forever, out later this year on Terrible, “cul de sac” was recorded in a house tryon lived in in Los Angeles with Sumney and Nicole Miglis, who also features on the track.
“I basically kept a mic rolling whenever there was meaningful sound occurring,” he writes in a statement. “[“cul de sac” is] all improvised, everyone laying on the floor at 3 am in complete darkness, singing and having a good time.” Listen to the track above. (via Pitchfork)
