When the story of 2020 TikTok is written, U.K. singer-songwriter beabadoobee will have a chapter all her own. Her song with Powfu "death bed (coffee for your head)" exploded in popularity thanks to countless videos made on the platform, achieving millions of streams a platinum RIAA certification. That song, thankfully, is not representative of beabadoobee's solo work, which steers towards '90s-inspired alternative rock. Ahead of her debut album Fake It Flowers, beabadoobee today shares a music video for her recently released song "Worth It."
The video might resonate with anyone out there who has been cooped up in a room for an extetnded period of time, craving but also fearing human contact. beabadoobee is just such a person, hiding out in a motel room that gets progressively more trashed as the video progresses. Check it out above. Fake It Flowers is out October 16 via Dirty Hit, and features the singles "Worth It," "Sorry," and "Care."
