Niniola shared the video for her single "Look Like Me" on Friday, finding the Afro-house star in her own colorful comic book universe. The Shuffle Muzik-produced track is the lead single from her sophomore album Colours and Sounds, which is also out today.
The album boasts appearances by Afro B and Femi Kuti, son of Afrobeat legend and pioneer Fela, as well as production from Sarz, Teflon Zincfence, and Timbaland. It also pulls from a variety of sonic influences including dancehall, vintage Afrobeat, and South Africa's distinct deep house, 90s kwaito and jazz hybrid, Amapiano.
"My music is colorful and vibrant. It’s traveled across borders," the singer said about the project. "Even though my root genre is Afro-House, I can do it all: R&B, pop, folk."
