Toronto-based singer Ashton Mills shared his latest single "The Bottom" along with its moody visuals on Friday.
The multi-hyphenate artist wrote and produced the track, which finds Mills mourning the slow deterioration of a relationship, as well as directed its hazy, dream-like video playing out the tense pairing.
"When writing and directing “The Bottom” I was focused on chasing a feeling. I was watching this Judy Garland visual from the 60’s and I remember getting this feeling of dream-like nostalgia and loneliness," Mills said of his inspirations for the song and video. "I wanted to portray that same raw emotion in, but give my own contemporary take on this dream-like heartbreak that the song follows."
The song will appear on the artist's upcoming debut project, YOU WATCHED ME LOSE MY MIND, set to drop later this year.
