Adrianne Lenker shares NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert
She performed music from her new album songs.
Recent episodes of NPR's Tiny Desk (Home) Concert have been marked by full bands (Ozuna, Ty Dolla $ign), and elaborate sets (Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers), but you won't find either of those in Adrianne Lenker's episode, where she plays music from her excellent solo album songs. It actually works to her advantage: her new music is acoustic guitar-driven, and so intimate that it makes sense she'd be the only person on camera, performing the music inside a camper trailer parked at the Joshua Tree. She runs through “zombie girl,” “two reverse,” “dragon eyes,” anything,” and “ingydar,” and it's 17 minutes of quiet splendor. Watch it above.
