Taylor Swift will release her ninth studio album tonight. The project is called evermore, and the record is described as the "sister record" to her eighth album folklore, which was released in July.

"To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs," Swift said in a series of tweets announcing evermore and its creation following folklore. "To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in."

evermore was created with Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, William Bowery, and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, who collaborated with Swift on folklore. Swift also promised some "new (and longtime) friends" would appear on the record.

The album's release at midnight will also come with a music video for a new song called "Willow," Swift said on Twitter.
