Lil Yachty’s new song “Royal Rumble” has too many Michigan rappers to fit in this headline
KrispyLife Kidd, RMC Mike, Babyface Ray, Rio Da Yung OG, Dc2Trill, and Icewear Vezzo all feature on Boat’s new song.
Atlanta's Lil Yachty is currently working on a full-length project called Michigan Boat Boy, a tape specific to the regional rap scene Yachty's kept close over the past couple of years. His latest song "Royal Rumble" is a posse cut featuring no less than a five rappers representing the Great Lake State: KrispyLife Kidd, RMC Mike, Babyface Ray, Rio Da Yung OG, and Icewear Vezzo turn up for verses on the song (Dc2Trill, who may or may not be from Michigan, also features).
Each rapper is in the mood to spit their own distinct brands of venom, and "Rumble" delivers by the pint. The beat is produced by Carlo Anthony, who might have the best tag of all time (it's voiced by Hank Hill from King Of The Hill), and strikes out into familiar sonic territory thanks to the ominous four-note melody and booming drums. Michigan Boat Boy is coming soon, and I'm looking forward to that a great deal more than Yachty's Uno movie.
