BROCKHAMPTON return with new Danny Brown collab “Buzzcut”
BROCKHAMPTON link up with Detroit icon Danny Brown for their first single in a year.
After an unusually quiet 2020 — their first year without releasing an album or mixtape since 2016 — hip-hop’s premiere boy band BROCKHAMPTON have returned with a new single and video. “Buzzcut” is a collaboration with the iconic Detroit rapper Danny Brown, and is the band’s first official release since roughly a year ago, when they released a remix of “Sugar” featuring Duo Lipa, Jon B, and Ryan Beatty. First teased on bandleader Kevin Abstract’s instagram, “Buzzcut” arrives alongside a new music video, directed and edited by Dan Streit, creative directed by Kevin Abstract, and shot by the band’s Ashlan Grey.
BROCKHAMPTON’s last album was 2019’s Ginger, which featured collaborations with slowthai, Deb Never, and Ryan Beatty; the same year, they conducted an extensive North American tour supported by slowthai and 100 gecs. Watch “Buzzcut” above.
