It's always a good day when Tierra Whack releases a new music video. The Philly rapper seemingly appeared out of nowhere with her 2018 project Whack World, a 15-track, 15-minute album that proved inescapable thanks to its accompanying visuals. Since then she's released single after single with memorable videos, and the latest is "Link," streaming above. A collaboration with the toy brand, LEGO, Whack's "Link" is a chirpy and fun song about building connections and growing from them.
The "Link" clip is co-directed by Cat Solen and students from Philadelphia who helped devise the story of a journey to space gone wrong. Whack worked alongside the students to literally construct the story out of LEGO bricks, saying in a statement. "I was so excited to work with kids because their energy is fun, exhilarating, never-ending, and full of surprises. I really trusted them, and I knew they were going to come up with something great." Whoever came up with the cute-as-hell aliens in the video deserves a prize of some kind. Check it out above.
