Back in 2019, Wiki shared a solo album called Oofie, an excellent-if-overlooked project of bittersweet self-reflection from the New York City rapper. Many of the songs on the album were handled by the Belgium-based producer NAH, and the two artists are teaming up once again for a collaborative project called Telephonebooth, out on May 7 via Wiki's label Wikset Enterprise. Our first taste of the project Is "Hip Hop," and despite its name, the song is refreshingly out of step with any paradigms or trends in rap. Thanks to a stuttering beat reminiscent of Jai Paul, Wiki's goblin-esque presence sounds as cutting edge as ever. Check out the video above, directed by Ryosuke Tanzawa.
