Kanye West has moved the release date for his tenth studio album Donda to August 6, according to a Pitchfork report. A representative for West confirmed the date in an email to The FADER.

The original release date for Donda was last Friday, July 23. To celebrate, West hosted a listening event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on the evening of July 22, but the album did not subsequently appear. Music played during the event featured guest appearances from Pop Smoke, Travis Scott, Baby Keem, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and JAY-Z. Viewers also caught the full version of "No Child Left Behind," a song that was previewed in a Beats ad starring Sha’Carri Richardson.

No one will fault you if you're skeptical that Kanye will actually release Donda next month. In September 2018, West announced an album called Yandhi only to shelve it indefinitely a few months later. A year after releasing Jesus Is King, he shared the song "Wash Us In The Blood" featuring Travis Scott from an album titled God's Country; that project hasn't materialized, either.
