MUNA enlist Phoebe Bridgers for new song “Silk Chiffon”
The track is the band’s first release on Bridgers’s label Saddest Factory.
California three-piece MUNA shared their last album Saves The World in 2019, and if the world ever needed their cathartic brand of shout-along pop, now is the time. They're back with a new single today called "Silk Chiffon," MUNA's first release on Phoebe Bridgers's label Saddest Factory. Bridgers features on the new song and in its video, a faithful take on the '90s queer classic But I'm a Cheerleader ("I'm high and I'm feeling anxious / In the middle of a CVS" Bridgers sings, a classic Bridgersism if there ever was one). Appropriately, the band's producer and guitarist Naomi McPherson described "Silk Chiffon" as “a song for kids to have their first gay kiss to.” So nice!
