HBO has released the first full trailer for Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss, an upcoming documentary on the late Chicago rapper. The film is directed by Tommy Oliver and will be available to stream on HBO Max on December 16.
A press release described the film as a document of the final years of Juice WRLD's life. "The film includes a wealth of never-before-seen footage, including several unreleased tracks, and dozens of industry interviews as it details Juice WRLD’s struggles to reconcile his meteoric rise to fame with underlying mental health issues and a growing dependency on prescription drugs."
Juice WRLD passed away in December 2019 from an accidental drug overdose. Sicne then, his estate has shared the posthumous album Legends Never Die with the upcoming project Fighting Demons also on the way. An animated film based on his music is also in the works.
