Angel Olsen announces new album Big Time, hear “All The Good Times” now
Olsen’s sixth album is out in June.
Angel Olsen has confirmed details of a new studio album. Big Time is due June 3 via Jagjaguwar and is preceded by new song "All The Good Times." You can see a video for the single below.
A press release details a period of great change in which Olsen recorded Big Time. The album came about shortly after Olsen came out as queer to her friends and family before losing both parents within the space of two weeks. “Some experiences just make you feel as though you’re 5 years old, no matter how wise or adult you think you are,” Olsen said in a statement about coming out to her parents before their respective deaths. “Finally, at the ripe age of 34, I was free to be me.”
Big Time was recorded and mixed with co-producer Jonathan Wilson. It is the follow-up to Olsen’s 2021 covers EP Aisles and the 2020 album Whole New Mess—a sister record to 2019’s All Mirrors. This summer Olsen will be on tour with Sharon Van Etten and Julien Baker across North America.
