Hawkins was found dead in his hotel room in Bogotá, Colombia before a planned performance at Estéreo Picnic on Friday evening. He was 50. A preliminary toxicology report outlined the presence of drugs in his system, but they have not yet been proved to have caused his death.

"The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins," the band said in a statement soon after news of Hawkins' death was revealed. "His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.
