Kelly Lee Owens announces new album, shares two songs

Kelly Lee Owens has announced details of a new album. LP.8 is out on April 29 (June 10 for physical) and is the producer/musician's third album, following a 2017 self-titled debut and 2020's Inner Song. In a statement explaining the album title, Owens says: “For me, 8 meant completion - an album that will ripple infinitely with me personally."

LP8. was recorded in Oslo, Norway alongside Lasse Marhaug (who has previously worked with Sunn O))) and Jenny Hval). A press release states they went into their sessions with the plan of "making music somewhere in between Throbbing Gristle and Enya."

To coincide with the new album announcement, Owens has shared two new tracks: "Sonic 8" and "Olga." Both are streaming below alongside Owens' upcoming live dates.
