Kate Bollinger releases Look at it in the Light EP
The new tape arrived today via Ghostly International.
Kate Bollinger has been on a roll since the release of her debut EP, 2020's I Don't Wanna Lose, which saw its second track "Candy" sampled on Donda's title song. She followed that record up with a 2020 tape, A word becomes a sound, and has since toured with Jeff Tweedy, Faye Webster, and Real Estate. And today, she's shared her third multi-track project, Look at it in the Light.
The new EP was preceded by three singles — the peppy "Yards / Gardens," the jangly "Who Am I But Someone" and the slower, groovier "Lady in the Darkest Hour" — and adds three more today. There's the pensive opener "I Found Out," the folk-rock throwback title track, and the gentle closer "Connecting Dots," all of them coalescing with the earlier cuts to form an impeccable suite of quietly rich indie pop.
