Cardi B is back with new music. Scroll down to hear "Hot Shit," which features Kanye West and Lil Durk, below. The Tay Keith-produced song is Cardi's first solo release of 2022 and follows last year's "Bet It."
In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Cardi said she has another new single ready to go after "Hot Shit" and that her goal is to then finish the follow-up to her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy. She also explained how Kanye ended up on the new song.
"Kanye gave me this verse a couple of months ago when he was just all over the media, because of all of the things that were going on, and I like how his verse it's personal, but it's not that personal," she said. "It's enjoyable in the clubs that you could be like, "Yeah, yeah. You talk your big cash." I really love it. And I'm so happy that he gave me this verse. And I had a lot of conversations with Kanye West. I learned so much about him and he's such an amazing, sweet person. I've been feeling like, I wish a lot of people have conversations with him so they could just see the real him."
Earlier this year Cardi jumped on a remix of Summer Walker and SZA's "No Love," as well as repping Bronx drill alongside Kay Flock on "Shake It."
