Nicki Minaj has dropped new song "Super Freaky," built around a sample of Rick James'1981 hit "Super Freak." Nicki brings her A-game to the song, spitting x-rated bars and confident boosting mottos ("I got a princess face, a killer body, samurai mind"), making it a natural sister track to her own "Anaconda." Check the new song out below.
Earlier this month Minaj asked her followers on social media to help select the name of the song, offering them the option of “FREAK” or “Super Freaky Girl.” While “FREAK” won the vote, Minaj explained that she couldn't use that name for legal reasons.
"Super Freaky Girl" follows a run of recent singles from Minaj, including “We Go Up” with Fivio Foreign, “Do We Have a Problem?” and “Bussin” with Lil Baby, and Coi Leray’s “Blick Blick.” Her most recent album Queen dropped in 2018. Earlier this week it was announced that she will accept the Video Vanguard Award at the 2022 MTV VMAs.
