Foo Fighters announce new album But Here We Are, share “Rescued”

Out on June 2, the album is the first since the passing of their drummer Taylor Hawkins.

On June 2, Foo Fighters will release But Here We Are, the Dave Grohl-led rock band's 11th album and the first since the death of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins. The project's announcement comes with the lead single "Rescued," which you can hear below.

But Here We Are is produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters. A press release describes the album as "the sound of brothers finding refuge in the music that brought them together in the first place 28 years ago, a process that was as therapeutic as it was about a continuation of life."

Taylor Hawkins died in Bogotá, Columbia at age 50; the cause of death has not been revealed. Foo Fighters canceled their impending tour and played two tribute concerts in summer 2022. The band are set to headline Bonnaroo and Outside Lands this year.
