The 1975 announced a big North American tour earlier this week, but right now the band is playing live across Europe. On Tuesday night, they headlined an outdoor show in Cork’s Musgrave Park where they invited opening act Caroline Polachek to join them on stage. Naturally, she provided vocals on the band’s Being Funny In A Foreign Language song “Oh Caroline.” You can watch the whole thing above.
Polachek had been due to open for The 1975 in Dublin last week before illness forced her to cancel. The band’s frontman Matty Healy stepped in at the last minute, performing solo and spray painting the word “Sorry?” on a white sheet. Was his apology for briefly dating Taylor Swift, appearing on a controversial podcast, irritating Noel Gallagher, or simply not wanting to apologize? We may never know.
