Drake has shared "Slime You Out." The song features SZA and is the first official release from his upcoming album For All The Dogs, which is due out on September 22. Scroll down to hear the song now.
In his opening verse Drake is critical of women making choices he disagrees with. At one point he sings the line, "You got my mind in a terrible place / Whipped and changed you like American slaves" before giving the mic over to SZA.
"Slime You Out" marks the first collaboration between Drake and SZA. However, the pair do have history with Drake revealing on the 2020 song "Mr Right Now" that they once dated. SZA confirmed that they were in a relationship around 2009, tweeting: "Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm … it’s all love all peace."
The possibility of a new Drake album has been in the air ever since he started his "It's All A Blur" tour in July and began hinting about it. "I have an album coming out soon for y’all," he said on the opening night in Chicago.
For All The Dogs will be the first Drake solo album since last year's Honestly, Nevermind. He also released her Loss, a collaborative project with 21 Savage, in 2022. The new album artwork, showing a white dog with red eyes, was drawn by Drake's five-year-old song Adonis.
