Angus Cloud died of an accidental overdose, Rolling Stone reports. The information comes via a toxicology report from the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau that reveals Cloud had fentanyl, cocaine, benzodiazepine, and methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death and suffered acute intoxication as a result.
Cloud, 25, passed away on July 31. The Euphoria actor died at home, where he was staying following the recent passing of his father. Cloud is said to have "struggled intensely" with the death, according to his family.
His family shared the following statement soon after his passing: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways."
Cloud, who had no previous acting experience, was cast in Euphoria after being spotted on the street by a scout. At the time of his death, he had projects in the works including a Universal Monsters film and Freaky Tales, a film co-starring Pedro Pascal.
