Mackenzie Scott has confirmed details of a new Torres album. What an Enormous Room will be released on January 26 via Merge Records. The first single to be released from the album is “Collect,” which Scott describes as “the rage song I’ve been trying to write for years” in a statement.
What an Enormous Room is the follow-up to 2021’s Thirstier. Scott co-produced the album with Sarah Jaffe; it was recorded at Stadium Heights Sound in Durham, North Carolina, and mastered by Heba Kadry.
Next year Scott will tour North America and Europe in support of the new album. The North American leg of the tour begins in Cleveland, Ohio on January 17. You can find a full list of dates below. Tickets are on sale beginning this Friday, October 6, at 10am local time
