Mexican-American band Fuerza Regida has canceled their upcoming concert in Tijuana, which was supposed to take place on October 6. While the band didn't publicly state why, Mexico’s Agencia Reforma reports that the group received a warning from Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, a drug cartel from Mexico.

Two days ago (October 2), a banner was found stating that if the group were to go through with the date, it would be their "last show of their fucking life."

The banner, allegedly signed by the CJNG, explicitly warns: "Perform and we will kill you."

The next day (October 3), Fuerza Regida announced that the event was canceled for "reasons beyond our control" through a post on Instagram. The FADER has reached out to the band's representatives for comment.

Last month, Peso Pluma also canceled a show in the same city after receiving similar threats. The band and Peso Pluma collaborated on a song, "Igualito a Mi Apá," which was released in December of last year.
