Drake fires back at Joe Budden’s For All The Dogs comments, says podcaster “failed at music”
The Canadian rapper took issue with Budden’s dismissal of his new album For All the Dogs.
There's been an update in the longstanding beef between Drake and Joe Budden. Drake dropped his latest — and possibly last, for a while — album, For All The Dogs, last week (October 6). As it's one of the biggest records of the year, podcaster Joe Budden used his most recent episode to review it. Budden believes Drake needs to grow up, saying, "You are 36. Stop f*cking with these younger n***** and stop fucking these 25-year-olds!"
Fellow podcaster DJ Akademiks posted a clip on Instagram that created a firing ground for Drake to respond. "You have failed at music," Drake wrote in a message to Budden. "You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success." See the full comment below.
Joe Budden responded with a simple: "You'll grow up sooner or later... Father time is undefeated."
While viewers agree that Drake went for the jugular, many also don't think that negates Budden's criticism. "Cannot reconcile with the fact that Drake dropped an album so bad that the internet is defending Joe Budden," one user wrote.
