Last Friday, Detroit rapper FADER cover star Veeze shared the deluxe version of Ganger, a sleepy-eyed firework of a debut album. For “Get Lucki,” one of the five new songs added to the tracklisting, Veeze has shared a set of new visuals.
During an appearance on Lil Yachty's podcast A Safe Place last month, Veeze revealed that he first started rapping at age 26 (he's currently 29). "Just being around other artists and being around the studio... A lot of musical shit go on in Detroit." I've thought about that quote a lot and how it captures Veeze's effortless talent, and it came back into my head when watching this video. A lot of it is filmed while Veeze is playing video games. This would be irritating for almost every other rapper, but Veeze turns it into a performance nearly worthy of the actual tour footage we see.
Backstage before one of the shows, Veeze gets a framed poster of his FADER cover. With Christmas music already being played on the radio, you're just in time to buy one yourself for all your friends and family.
