Lil Uzi Vert says LUV Is Rage 3 will be their final album
The rapper is kicking up retirement chatter once again.
Lil Uzi Vert's conflicted relationship with fame has only grown with the rapper's success and influence. In 2019, as fan demand for their long-delayed album Eternal Atake was at its peak, Lil Uzi announced their retirement and claimed that they had deleted all of their music. "I wanna be normal... I wanna wake up in 2013," they wrote on Instagram. That, of course, never came to pass, with Uzi since releasing Eternal Atake, a full-length album with Future called Pluto x Baby Pluto, and this year's Pink Tape.
That's important to keep in mind given that during a recent concert, Lil Uzi Vert said that their next album LUV Is Rage 3 will be their last. "I came to this conclusion not too long ago,” Uzi said in remarks spotted by Complex. “I was gonna wait ’til later to say it but, you know, I’m dropping LUV Is Rage 3 and LUV Is Rage 3 will be my last album.
"Relax. It’s okay,” Uzi said in response to groans from the crowd. “After LUV Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour. … But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.” Watch the video below — it's the second time this year that Uzi has discussed the prospect of retirement publically.
