Madlib and Karriem Riggins have announced details of their second album as Jahari Massamba Unit. The drummer-producer duo will release YHWH Is Love on March 1 via Law of Rhythm. The album's lead single, "Stomping Gamay," is streaming below.
YHWH Is Love is the follow-up to the first Jahari Massamba Unit album Pardon My French, released in 2020.
Madlib has released several collaborative projects since, as well as releasing the solo album Sound Ancestors in 2021. His latest album, Champagne For Breakfast, was made with Mayhem Lauren and DJ Muggs and came out earlier this year. In 2022 Riggins provided the soundtrack to the Netflix series Mo alongside Common and Patrick Warren.
