Since Little Mix announced plans for a break in 2022, JADE has established herself as the most interesting new voices in pop. Her breakout single "Angel of My Dreams" was a wildly enjoyable statement of independence that ended up on The FADER's Best songs of 2024 list. Today she returns with a new song, the playful and campy "IT Girl." It comes with a video in which the British artist smashes a bunch of plates in a fancy department store. Check it out below.
"IT Girl" was written by JADE and produced by Cirkut (responsible for many songs on Charli xcx's Brat) and Lostboy (Kyle Minogue's "Padam Padam"). That's a dream team right there.
Speaking about the new song, JADE says: "IT girl is the c**nty little sister to 'Angel of My Dreams'. There’s still so much that people don’t know about me, so I was eager to surprise people and prod the bear a bit. I have to write about my experiences in my own melodramatic way. I’m not going to sugarcoat it.”
