Doja Cat has admitted she "hit some flats" during her performance at this year's Oscars, admitting that nerves got the better of her. She performed a medley of Bond themes alongside Raye and Lisa in a tribute to the James Bond franchise that also included a dance routine featuring actress Margaret Qualley. The segment split audiences, with some complaining that the artists had no connection to the 007 movies and that there appeared to be no real reason to honor the franchise, besides its recent acquisition by Amazon.

In an Instagram post shared on Monday, Doja Cat said that she "put a lot of work into [singing "Diamonds are Forever], but the nerves got to me and a bitch hit some flats.”

“I never get to sing like that and what I did was brave and scary as fuck for me,” she continued. “I know a lot of people didn’t like it, but a lot of people did, and I feel good that I pushed myself.”

Raye, who had the daunting task of singing Adele's "Skyfall," also posted about the performance and seemed to acknowledge the tricky nature of covering a song by such a beloved artist. She wrote that she “was sooo nervous to sing this song because no one can sing Adele like Adele, but I tried my very best.”

Lisa, who can also be seen on screens as part of the new White Lotus cast, sang "Live and Let Die." She is yet to comment on the response to her performance.
