Kali Malone announces Burning Song tour dates for 2027

Contemporary organ composer and ambient drone experimentalist Kali Malone has a new album Burning Song out on October 30. Today she announced she’ll be touring the U.S. and Europe behind her fourth solo record at the beginning of 2027, alongside a new single “My Eve My Dawn.” Listen to the new single and check out the full list of tour dates below.
In a press release, Malone described her compositional approach on her latest LP as, “more intuitive and direct.” Burning Song was recorded at the Thomaskirche church in Leipzig, Germany, the final resting place of J.S. Bach, who served as cantor at the church for 27 years until his death in 1750. Malone is the first contemporary musician to play the church’s Bach Organ, a modern instrument carefully fine-tuned to the historical specifications of the baroque period when Bach was alive.
Malone, who trained as an organ tuner in her late teens, has said that experience heavily informed her intervallic approach to composing music. Burning Song will reunite Malone with previous collaborators Lucy Railton and Stephen O’Malley. Malone’s fourth album is her first solo LP since 2024’s All Life Long. Back in March, Malone released Music For Intersecting Planes alongside cellist and composer Leila Bordreuil, and last November, she put out Magnetism in collaboration with former Coil member Drew McDowall.
