Probably if there's a way to my heart it's through re-purposed amateur teenage dance footage, a video genre employed here to great effect for a new collaboration between Brown Bread and Von Holt. The footage is all of suburban settings, and often still tagged in the corner with embedded advertisements from free online video converters. There's a sure contrast between Brown Bread and Von Holt's soft-ish brand of electronic pop and the presumed high-energy tracks originally serenading the footwork dancers, but in their different worlds both camps share a beautiful homemade quality. They like what they like and making it on their own. Brown Bread and Von Holt's EP, Body Contact, is their best work yet, and it's out now.
