Matt Shadetek’s "Madness" is a maximal song that could fit comfortably with plenty of dubstep that's coming out right now, but placed in the context of the rest of his work, including "La Vida Loca," which features New York hard-head rapper Troy Ave, it exists as a larger picture of New York—touching on everything from bass music to hip hop to dancehall (though you'd have to strain to hear that on "Madness"). Instead, it's a track that coasts and glides—heavy, but still melodic. Shadetek's The Empire Never Ended is out March 26th on Dutty Artz.
