“Broccoli” seems like left-field match-up at first. The soulful, diaphragm-shaking styles of D.R.A.M. with Lil Yachty's mush-mouthed singsong trap? But as the track progresses, some overlap becomes evident: Both rappers are making good use of their new shine—Yachty brags about spending “a check on my mamma,” D.R.A.M. expresses “A taste for salmon on a bagel with the capers on a square plate.” They both make bright beat from J-Gramm, Rogét Chahayed and Karl Rubin sound even more like spring sunshine. And they're both the life of the party in unique and often contradicting ways. With them both together, it's almost too much.
