The feline-friendly folks over at the garage-punk label Burger Records, after discovering an adventurous kitten on the freeway during rush hour, came to the little ones rescue (that's her above). Badly injured, the furball was taken to the vet, where it was discovered she needed surgery, including pins in her pelvis and knee. To assist in what had quickly become a pricy—though heroic—feat, the label recruited some artists to pitch in with unreleased tracks for a charity compilation for animal welfare. The Kitty Comp costs only $10 and features 50 bands, including Ryan Adams, Crystal Antlers, Summer Twins and many more. Any additional funds earned will go to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Check out Summer Twins' contribution below, and purchase yours here.
